Komplex

Contemporary theatre, dance, performance, film and music united under one roof – the programme of our OFF-Bühne Komplex is as diverse as it is participatory. Launched in 2015 by Klub Solitaer as an interactive stage with professional infrastructure and run in cooperation with Taupunkt e. V., the independent theatre on Sonnenberg is dedicated to promoting and developing up-and-coming artists and opening up an experimental venue for international collectives and amateur groups alike. Current artistic trends, cross-city exchange and professionally supported development opportunities are initiated and taken up here in co-productions, residencies, guest performances, workshops and arthouse cinema. Whether with genre cinema, Christmas fairy tales, theatre festivals or intensive workshops from Japanese puppet theatre to contemporary dance, we provide alternative impulses in the Chemnitz theatre scene.

The OFF-Bühne Komplex offers space for 80 spectators. In the adjoining theatre foyer, exchange formats such as theatre talks and discussions take place. While Klub Solitaer e. V. manages the premises, Taupunkt e. V. is largely responsible for designing the programme.
